About us

About us

We are situated in Bury Street West, Bush Hill Park with easy access from Edmonton and Enfield. The 192 bus from both  stops at the main gate and routes along the A.10 stop within a couple of hundred yards.   There is on street parking and provision for blue badge off road.

We are managed by an elected committee of members and governed by our own constitution, with an eye towards county and national protocols.

About bowls

We cater for all levels of bowling from County Champions to raw novices. For general club play we do not require fancy uniforms. Our only request is that footwear should be smooth flat soled so as not to damage the grass.nWhites are usually worn on special club days and for some matches but in the first year this only applies if you wish. For new bowlers we provide all necessary equipment (except shoes) and give a minimum of 6 coaching sessions to beginners. We run a full programme in the summer of internal competitions and social games as well as interclub, county and national events

Membership

We have several membership options – Full members who can bowl whenever there are rinks available:  senior members who are usually past full members who are physically not able to bowl a full game and have some restrictions on playing time and social members who cannot bowl at all.(see social section)   Currently we have no junior section but this is one of our aims.   Membership is for 12 months as we run events in the clubhouse during the winter (see social info).
